![]() The currency markets have opened for only seven days after the closing on September 03 due to the mandatory closing on weekend and single-day shut down on September 10 on the account of Muharram. Indicatively, the rupee per unit dollar price has fallen to 70.9275 (September 13, 2019) from a level of 72.3938 as on September 03, 2019. The rupee has gained 147 paise (~ Rs 1.4663) against the US dollar in the last seven trading days at the interbank foreign exchange market. As per Friday’s closing prices, the Indian rupee closed a little below 71-level after hovering between 70.8625 and 71.1500, registering a gain for the seventh straight day, the Bloomberg data showed. The rupee bounced back from the 2019 lows of over 72 per unit US dollar to below 71 levels. New Delhi: The Indian rupee is on a strong recovery path since the beginning of September as the local currency (rupee) has gained nearly 147 paise against the US dollar within seven days. ![]()
